Vallarta School for Girls is funded by Girls Education Fund, a non-profit organization founded in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México
When girls get the opportunities they deserve, amazing things start to happen; poverty goes down, economies grow, families get stronger, and babies are born healthier. And the world, by all accounts, gets better.
An educated girl is more likely to become involved in the workforce and in turn, bring economic stability to her family and community. Studies have shown that women invest around 90% of their income into their families and communities thus reducing poverty and improving health, safety, and education for everyone.
We focus on women because girls are more likely to drop out of school to early marriage and/or pregnancy.
We want to create a change by raising young girls out of poverty with a proper education, which will ultimately lead to more female leadership. We want to provide mentors, school equipment, and a support system in all aspects of a young girl’s life. We want to provide free education, essentials such as uniform and books, along with ensuring a young girl’s access to career opportunities.
